Speakers
David Hunter
David is an NEC contract specialist providing consultancy advice and training to clients, contractors, subcontractors and consultants on the NEC3/4 forms of contract. With over thirty five years of experience, he has a proven record in delivering complex projects with multiple stakeholders in both the public and private sector. A professionally qualified and conscientious individual with an established career in civil engineering and construction, his projects include working in the infrastructure, utility, energy, education, leisure and manufacturing industries. David is also a tutor and assessor for the NEC Project Manager, Supervisor and Service Manager accreditation programmes.
Ben Walker
Ben has 23 years’ experience working with the construction industry. He is Commercial Director at Gather, the leading construction Record Management System. Gather is transforming the role of the site diary with its ‘Plan, Record, Improve’ approach. It connects site and office teams and enables continuous improvement through data insights. In 2003 Ben founded CEMAR, the leading Contract Management System, trusted to administer c.£100 billion of strategic construction and maintenance. CEMAR joined the Thinkproject Group in 2018. Ben worked as a member of the NEC4 drafting team. He has lectured extensively on NEC since 2008 as a tutor for Thomas Telford Limited. Ben was an examiner for the ICE Law and Contract Management Examinations 2012 to 2018. Ben held various roles on a variety of construction and maintenance contracts during his time at Gloucestershire County Council. He has a first class honours degree in Civil Engineering.
